THE GREAT TRIBULATION - WITNESSES PART 1

    The Book of Revelations is focused on this seven year period. Together with the Book of Daniel it is called the Apocalyptic Literature. This comes from the Grx ἀποκάλυψις (apokalypsis) given in Revelation 1:1. Two words are put together apo means ‘away from’ and kalypsis means a hiding or a veiling. We commonly call it, the revelation. 

There are key areas of the seven year period that I will be looking at in the upcoming blogs. :

• The Great Tribulation
• The believers
• The Witnesses
• Mark of the Beast
• The Horsemen
• Armageddon
• Second Coming

THE GREAT TRIBULATION

This Great Tribulation is a set of events that is God's judgement on the satanic hosts of heaven and the wicked people on the earth, and it is a time to prepare the people of Israel to receive the Messiah. This is their second chance. It is to purge out the carnal mind in them. The events will spread over seven years. 

All other tribulations that Israel experiences or Jews experience will not compare to this time. It will be the worst ever. But it is not intended for the church 1 Thessalonians 5:9. John the Baptist said to flee from the wrath to come. The wrath can be escaped. The wrath is the Great Tribulation. 

To be delivered, Israel will have to accept the Messiah is Jesus to have their names in the Book of Life, Daniel 12:1. Daniel did not know this before. On a side note, Michael is the angel watching over Israel.

At this point in time, we are told to pray and declare specific things about this coming period. When I look at Ezekiel 38 and Matthew 24 I see this. Pray now for that time. Prophecy or declare against the regimes that will form part of the new order, who will wage war against Israel and later against the believers. 

After the pre-tribulation war and the rapture a treaty will be signed. In this treaty, Israel will be offered the rebuilding of the Temple. This is the biggest desire in Israel. Even though God protects Israel and they see His supernatural power protecting them, they will put their trust in a man. They will desire peace and they will want the Temple to be re-built. 

They have not been able to sacrifice since Emperor Hadrian burnt the Temple and exiled them 2,000 years ago. This is prophecy coming true. Already the snail for the dye of the priest's clothing, the red heifer and the teaching and training of the priests have begun in preparation.

Those left behind should recognise the period and start witnessing and preparing. If they did not know before they should try to understand as much as they could by searching the Bible. They can depend on God's chosen 144,000 and the Two Witnesses to help them understand put it into context. As a witness to others speak out. 

If you are here during this time, there are lots to do:

• Ask God to forgive you and pray for His guidance, protection and discernment
• If you can get a printed Bible use that
• Help others if you can
• Don't allow anyone to cause you to sin or deny Christ
• Witness for God, speak the word of God, speak truth 
• Prepare a way to disappear no later than 1259 days after the treaty is signed. Try to do this by 1200 days.
• Understand that you will have to loose your life for Jesus or face eternity in hell

The tribulation is the Day of the Lord. To understand the end of time try to keep it simple. There are other names used for the 7 year period:

• the Great Tribulation is what happens on the earth
• wrath of God on the wicked
• hour of trouble for the saints during the 7 years
• Jacob's trouble for Israel as it is the final week of God's wrath, 

There is some confusion of The Day of Christ in 2 Thessalonians 2:2 and the Day of The Lord 2 Thessalonians 5:2, Isaiah 24:21-22W. The Day of Christ is the day Jesus returns to earth. When the day of The Lord is mentioned, it is the judgement of God on this world. He deals with three things:

• satan and his demons, Isaiah 27:1
• the nations, Joel 3:1-2
• Israel, Hosiah 5:15

The Great Tribulation was also referenced by prophet Joel. It was not only in the New Testament. 

During the Great Tribulation, many things will happen. Do not trust anything. The world as you know it will change. Here is how the changes will occur but in no specific order:

• People will be told Jesus is here, do not go. 
• They will be told to be part of the new religion or the new order. Run from it. 
• Evil will be all around
• Laws will be changed
• Good will be called evil and evil good
• Supernatural abilities will be seen
• Someone will be fatally wounded and come back healed
• One man will be seen as the peacemaker and the answer to all the problems
• A man of religion will support this peacemaker as the answer
• Everything will appear to go good at first
• Disease will increase, many will die
• The water will change
• You will be told to deny Christ
• Bibles will change
• Major religions will change, Jesus will no longer be called the Messiah
• You will hear a lot about tolerance
• There will be an international body with one head to control all the nations 
• There will be new leadership
• Everything will be digitised

Many people are curious and want to understand everything. But that is a distraction. Do not focus on the sensationalism of prophecy. Instead practise to witness for God. Your life in eternity depends on it. Don't wait. People must be able to see that you are a Christian by the gifts of the spirit in you. They must hear you speak of God and testify of His Son Jesus in your life.

I pray you have opportunity to witness for Jesus. I pray you are raptured and your loved ones saved from the wrath of God in Jesus name.

PARALLEL TIMES AND PARALLEL UNIVERSES

    After the rapture there will be the Great Tribulation. It is expected that the war of Ezekiel 38, will create a need for a treaty to be signed that will bring peace to the world. There will be so much chaos. During that time we will see a heightening of many situations that are already present today. That is about the sum of what many people understand about this prophecy.

When we are dealing with prophecy we have to keep reading it over and over to get understanding and pray asking God for revelation. A lot of people are looking for prophecy and the sensationalism of prophecy. They have no time to seek God out on the prophecy. This is why it is easy to read a verse or chapter and miss key things. Prophecy does not occur in isolation either.

Today I want to back track a little. Before getting into the Great Tribulation as a series. I want to show that there is a dynamic that we need to understand in the Bible:

• parallel times
• parallel universes
• what to pray for

PARALLEL TIME PERIODS

Let us go back to Ezekiel 38 and to Matthew 24. You probably think this is a strange topic. I have not heard anyone speak of this, parallel times in the Bible. Parallel times occur in differ ways. We read in the Present about the past that speaks about the future. One example is that we are told to pray for specific things concerning the end.

Pray that your flight will not occur in the winter or on the Sabbath. For at that time there will be great tribulation, unmatched from the beginning of the world until now, and never to be seen again. Matthew 24:20-21

A number of times I read what Jesus is saying at that point in time but is really addressing something in the future. Many people downplay Jesus as a prophet while others try to box him in as only a prophet.  

Sometimes he speaks like in a movie, when the actor looks directly at the camera and speaks to the viewers. He is giving a message with a double audience. Woody Allen was the first to do this in a movie. Jesus is doing this, He is speaking to the disciples but He is speaking to mankind at the same time.

And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.” 

In verses 20 and 24 Jesus is speaking of something in the future. He knows that the disciples will be persecuted. But He says, pray that your flight. Even though Jesus does not know when the rapture will occur, He does know when the disciples will die. Your flight is not for the disciples. Jesus is speaking on two levels of time. 

He is speaking to two audiences. This is a simple way for me to explain the parallel times being addressed in the Bible. Prophecy is in a number of ways like this too. 

PARALLEL UNIVERSES

That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done, And there is nothing new under the sun. Ecclesiastes 1:9

What it means is that everything is being repeated. The root cause of any situation can be traced back to something that already existed. One example is in Matthew 24:37-40. Jesus said:

As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark. And they were oblivious, until the flood came and swept them all away. So will it be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.

Here the context is that people would not expect the rapture. They will be busy about normal life. They will be oblivious which is the 3rd person plural of to not know. 

Today many people do not expect the rapture. They do not believe in it. They will be surprised. The reason for this is that there are many false teachings, false teachers. This leaves room for the church to loose credibility in the world today. People will have false beliefs. Not only will the church not know but those in the world will be surprised. 

The foundation of evil has already been established. The strategies might change. The format in how a lie will be told will be different depending on its target, but the devil is the author of the lies and his goal is to:

• lead man away from God (Genesis 1:26)
• lead man so far away from God they no longer look like God, e.g. the giants. 
• through their ways, different to Jesus
• through their practises that are unclean
• through science 
• through education and desensitisation of the value for life
• cut off the relationship between man and God (Genesis 3:15)
• because God put enmity between man and the devil in one instance. 
• The other instance is that God brought Jesus between man and the devil. 
• take over the people so that God has no people to call His own. (Jeremiah 31:3)

The devil wants to take over our lives and everything we do for God. He knows he will not win but wants to deceive as many people as possible. All through history I can see that the devil has been trying to accomplish his goals. What he did up to the time of Noah he continues to do again. But it gets worse each time. Jesus says that in the Great Tribulation many will be fooled. Today we are seeing this already. 

For at that time there will be great tribulation, unmatched from the beginning of the world until now, and never to be seen again. Matthew 24:21

At the time of the Great Tribulation people will be killed and hunted down. There will be a reason given for this. Can you imagine a reason given for simply killing people?Today and in the past, people have been hunted, killed and massacred. Laws will be changed to allow this and all the other goals the devil has in mind will be pursued.

Science and technology will play its part in this too. Just as the Jews who had to flee from Jerusalem 2,000 years ago, Christians will have to flee from society. They will have to go underground as did the church after the death of Christ. I personally think the underground church started with Peter’s denial. 

Jesus warns us that people will claim to be prophets, they will claim to be Him and they will claim signs and wonders. People will be sent to find Jesus in different places. They will be so desperate. Jesus says do not be fooled! There will be traps set to find the people who will not follow the devil. This has happened in the past and will happen then. The left behind must understand that Jesus will not come until seven years after the Ezekiel 38 war.

The ones I refer to as the left behind are the saints who experience the Great Tribulation. They did not make it in the rapture due to a lukewarm Christian faith or becoming saved after the rapture. Jesus warns us 2000 years before of this. He is ensuring that within the 2000 years it becomes common knowledge. But He is showing us that it’s related events. Too often we look at issues in isolation.

The changes to be made in Israel are already starting to occur. This new government is one to change the order or ways that existed. Same as was done in USA. Same mantra. Same laws are changing. It sets the stage for the Great Tribulation period. 

This period is the coverage of peace given by the treaty to end the pre-Tribulation war. Count when it is signed and know that in 1260 days the devil will establish himself in Jerusalem and claim he is God. This will confuse some people but it will expose the truth to others simultaneously.

The parallel universes are three fold:

• what happened in the past will repeat
• what is happening now is an extension of the past
• what will happen in the future is what happened in the past and continued through the current period into the future

There is nothing new. Just done differently. Our current situation in the world is a trial to see what can be done and how much better it can be done. You can read more on my concept if you like on this link.

PRAY FOR THESE THINGS

We already know that we have to pray for ourselves, each other, and to spread the gospel. But Jesus said pray for those who will have to face the Great Tribulation.

And the word of the LORD came to me, saying, “Son of man, set your face against Gog of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. Prophesy against him and declare that this is what the Lord GOD says: Behold, I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. 

I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws, and bring you out with all your army—your horses, your horsemen in full armor, and a great company armed with shields and bucklers, all brandishing their swords. Persia, Cush, and Put will accompany them, all with shields and helmets, as well as Gomer with all its troops, and Beth-togarmah from the far north with all its troops—the many nations with you.

Get ready; prepare yourself, you and all your company gathered around you; you will be their guard. After a long time you will be summoned. In the latter years you will enter a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and all now dwell securely. Ezekiel 38:1-8

Not only are we to pray according to this word, we are to prophecy and speak against what is being done, pray for the people who will become believers, and against the evil that is coming. During the Great Tribulation, those who believe in Christ will have to defend Israel.

I pray you are not discouraged. I pray you grow in faith and strength. I pray your family and loved ones are saved. I pray that the ones who remain behind are saved and courageous in Jesus name.

TAPPING OUT - THE RAPTURE PART 2

    To be or not to be? That is the question. I have already established why I believe there will be a rapture in part one of this topic. In this blog I will answer two questions:

• What do we know?
• When will it happen?

WHAT DO WE KNOW? 

God did not appoint us to face his anger. His anger is for those who deny Jesus as the Messiah and refuse to live His way. 1 Thessalonians 5:9, 1:10. The Holy Spirit dwells within us. He is the restrainer on the earth. When we pray by His leading, we hold back the enemies of God on the earth. When we are raptured, He will go with us. The 7 year period of God's anger is for unbelievers who remain on the earth. The presence of evil will increase and wickedness grows.

The Tribulation of Seven Years is about a decree that was passed. The angel Gabriel brought the answer to Daniel. Since then 69 weeks have passed, we wait on the the 70th week. One week is seven days and represents seven years. For now pay attention to your people and your holy city. I will review this in more detail in another blog soon.

Seventy weeks are decreed for your people and your holy city to stop their transgression, to put an end to sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy Place.

Know and understand this: From the issuance of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem, until the Messiah, the Prince, there will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of distress. Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and will have nothing. Daniel 9:24-26

Jesus said what to look out for. I know that the fig tree in Matthew 24 is Israel as stated by Jesus Himself. Jesus gave signs of when to expect the rapture. This means that the church does not replace Israel. Israel is a sign for when the rapture will take place. 

It is possible that the rapture will happen before, during or after the pre-tribulation war. The rapture will add to the chaos and despair many will feel when they are left behind. Other signs are given in the blog Pre-Tribulation War and Pre-Tribulation Settings

WHEN WILL IT HAPPEN?

 

Have you ever watched a wrestling match? When the opponent is held in a choke hold or a grip that is too painful or threatens to cause bodily harm, he can tap out. The referee's job is to monitor the hold and evaluate if there is potential for harm. The rapture is like that.

God created an out for us. You might think that people are being killed for being Christians and this is enough reason for God to have raptured us already. However, if that had happened before then where would you be? 

If God had raptured the body of Christ when the disciples were persecuted, boiled in hot oil, turned upside and murdered, we would not have that hope today of being raptured. If the rapture had happened yesterday would you have been taken? Would you still be here? Are you ready?

Travis Greene sang a song, You waited. I fully appreciate this song. I have many loved ones still to be saved. There are millions of people still to know who Christ is and the hope of eternal life with Him. We have to trust God to know when it is enough. Many people mix up the Second Coming with the rapture. 

No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark. And they were oblivious, until the flood came and swept them all away. So will it be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. Matthew 24:36-41

Taken away or caught up, means the church will be taken to heaven for a time to wait with Jesus for the timing of His Second Coming. They will return with Him, Revelations 17:14. 

The believers will know when to expect the Second Coming of Christ. When the anti-Christ claims he is god and takes over the Temple, count 1260 days. Do not be distracted and do not be deceived by this world. It is easier to accept Jesus today.

I pray that you have a deeper understanding of the word of God. I pray that you are filled with the anointing of The Holy Spirit and affect others to pull down darkness in their lives in Jesus name.

ESCAPISM - THE RAPTURE PART 1

    Escapism is a tendency to prefer distraction as a relief from unpleasant realities. Often it is through seeking entertainment or engaging in fantasy. In this world of virtual reality, space travel, and staycations, Christians are accused of escapism. Sounds ironic don't you think? 

I think that I prefer escapism over procrastination in a Christian context. To argue the point I look at the greatest escape plan, the rapture. It is even better than a Houdini stunt. When Ironman asked Dr. Strange if there was any probability that they could win in a battle against Thanos, one in millions was found. If it was the same odds for the rapture I would take it. 

The good news is that God is always true to His word. He keeps His promises they are yea and amen. There are many Christians who do not believe in the rapture. That is ok, we are all saved by the blood of Jesus and the testimony of our life in Him. Therefore, since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from wrath through Him! Romans 5:9. It should not be a reason for argument or tension. 

WHY DO I THINK THERE WILL BE A RAPTURE?

Firstly, I have to clarify that those who believe in the rapture believe that the Great Tribulation is for the non-believers not the Christians. By Christians I mean true followers of Jesus. The wrath of God is directed at the Jews in particular. The question remains, What happens to the Christians? This is where the rapture comes in.

The teaching of the rapture is not based on a modern day concept. Irenaeus of Lyons in the second century spoke of the rapture (Book 5). You can further research it if you like. But as I always say do not get distracted. His book is called Refutation and Overthrow of Knowledge - falsely so-called but also called Against Heresies. 

The reason why I think there will be a rapture is not because there are increased sightings of spaceships. I do believe there are spaceships but I do not think it is from outer space. I have personally seen it more than once in my country. Two times I saw it with someone else. Once again let us not be distracted by these things. There is no relationship between the rapture and spaceships except if the rapture occurs and someone blames it all on aliens. 

The rapture is the one time we can blame God. The drive of the people at this time would be to deny God exists. But the world leaders will have to blame someone for millions of Christians disappearing. I do not plan on being here after the rapture so it will not be of concern to me. It will concern those left behind. This is important. For those left behind there will be many lies and deceptions to filter out. Here are my reasons for believing there will be a rapture.

The example was set in the Bible. Seth, Enoch, and Elijah do not die. They are taken up to heaven.

The difference between the church and the believers. The ones left behind are referred to as believers. The ones who are caught up are the Church. Anyone left behind must be sure to give witness to the word of God, God said this and it is so.  

In the Book of Revelations 1-3 the church is spoken and then disappears after. I think that is for specific reasons:

• to summarise the era of the church 
• to let the left behind who called themselves christians but were not raptured, know why they were left behind
• to guide the left behind as to what not to be guilty of during the Great Tribulation period, this will be the new believers

The devil looses access to heaven. So that no one gets confused, people can be truly saved during the Great Tribulation which occurs after the rapture. But the accuser, the devil will no longer have access to the heavens. This happens around the time of the rapture. Possibly just after: 

Now have come the salvation and the power,
and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ.
For the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down—
he who accuses them day and night before our God. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Revelations 12:10-11

But after the rapture the believers will have to pay the price Jesus freely offered with their own blood, Revelations 6:9-11. This is why they will be beheaded or martyred. 

Isn't it curious that with all the chemical agents that bring death, the guns and explosive devices the method of death is beheading? We know this to be true because this is what ISIS does today. If you choose Jesus over Islam you will be beheaded. Even children.

Hour of trial. Entrance to eternal life with Christ is the way that Jesus speaks of. God is saying it is better because He can keep you from the hour of trial.

I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. ... Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Revelations 3:8,10

We are the bride of Christ. Jesus does not want a battered bride. An unprepared bride will go through stress Matthew 25. Also, the church raptured returns with Christ in the Second Coming.

Jesus prepares a place for you. If you have to either be under the altar or still to be martyred during the 7 year tribulation then when will you live and enjoy your mansion? John 14:2

Anti-Christ is not yet revealed. The church will not know the identity of the lawless one until we are taken away.

For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8

The Latin translation. The consistent meaning of 'caught up' in the New Testament. Fourteen times it is used. All with the same meaning of 'snatched', removed forcibly, 'catch' and 'seized'. The Greek word for 'caught up' is 'harpazó' and the Latin is 'rapturo'.

By the word of the Lord, we declare to you that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will be the first to rise. After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17

Appearing is different to coming. The Second Coming of Christ is different to the rapture. Those raptured will meet Christ. Those on the earth still will see Him coming after the Great Tribulation 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17. We will meet Him in the clouds. Jesus does not come down to the earth at this point. Some Bible translations will confuse us a bit, but ask The Holy Spirit to help you understand. 

At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. Matthew 24:30-31

I hope you see it. That in the Second Coming, believers are living on the earth. The martyred and the church raptured come with Jesus then. Part two of the topic of the rapture will be published tomorrow.

PRE-TRIBULATION WAR

    The pre-tribulation war is the marker for the beginning of the end times for many people. However, as I explained previously the end begins with Jesus. God makes a lot of effort to let us know the end from the beginning, Isaiah 46. But today when we refer to the end times, we are talking about the final seven years of the wrath of God as judgement for denying Jesus. 

There are two wars that often get confused. The Apocalypse and the Pre-Tribulation War. There is the Armageddon War but usually it’s the Apocalypse and the Pre-Tribulation War people mix up. The pre-TribuIation war marks the start of the period. I learnt this recently. 

There is a suggestion that there will be a gap between the rapture and the pre-tribulation war. But I am not so sure about that. If the rapture happens before the war or after the war starts, it does not matter. Even if there’s a gap it doesn’t really matter. I personally would like it to happen.

The important thing is to ensure that we do get to meet Jesus in the heavens before the period of the Great Tribulation gets on the way. But back to our topic. There are specific differences between the wars:

• Gog and Magog is used in Revelations 20:8 but it is Gog of the land of Magog in Ezekiel 38:2
• the church goes up to meet Christ around the time of the pre-tribulation war. Known as the rapture, (more on this in the next blog), but in Revelations the church returns with Christ in the Second Coming
• the reason for the pre-tribulation is for spoils but the reason for the Apocalypse is to establish the Kingdom of God, Ezekiel 38:13, Revelations 20:11
• in the final battle the dead bones and blood are knee deep, there will be no time or care to bury the dead because it is the final battle.

I know that it will happen very soon because I see the scriptures in Ezekiel 38 coming through already. It is a powerful passage. I look at this passage because this is where the prophecies have reached:

• the re-settlement of Israel by Jews
• reproach of nations
• excelerated sped in prophecies fulfilled

The re-settlement of Israel

On May 14, 1948 Israel became a state. The pre-tribulation war could not happen before until two prophecies were fulfilled:

• Israel declared a state for the Jewish people  
• the prosperity of Israel

Key point to note is that it is not God's will that Judah and Jerusalem be separated. It has to be one nation. It is my opinion that this will play an important role in prophetic fulfilment in the near future:

you are to tell them that this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘I will take the Israelites out of the nations to which they have gone, and I will gather them from all around and bring them into their own land. I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel, and one king will rule over all of them. Then they will no longer be two nations and will never again be divided into two kingdoms. Ezekiel 37:21-22

As sure as there is a heaven there is Israel. As sure as there is Israel there is a Second Coming. If God can resurrect a scattered people to be a mass into a desolate motherland and make it thrive again, then God is returning to His people Jeremiah 31, Isaiah 66. As a sign Jesus Himself established that the fig tree is Israel, and you can use its prosperity as a sign:

Then Jesus told them a parable: “Look at the fig tree and all the trees. When they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is near. Luke 21:29-30

Mark Twain the author wrote about the desolation of Israel before the mass re-settlement started. He was fulfilling prophecy. Some critics of Israel said that Mark Twain was exaggerating and not truthful. However, he was a satirist not a liar. His form of expression would be with satire, but he could not lie about the topic. There would be no art in that.

He later did an interview for a magazine that marvelled at the resilience of the land in Israel and how it responded to the Jews. Mark Twain was not a religious man and therefore he had no bias.

The desolate land will be cultivated instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who pass through. Then they will say, ‘This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden. The cities that were once ruined, desolate, and destroyed are now fortified and inhabited.’ Ezekiel 36: 34-35

Reproach of nations

 

Many prophecies have come to pass already. It seems as though the rate at which it is happening has increased. God is setting the scores right. Nations that attacked Israel verbally and militarily are now facing reproach. This week the British government rebuked the Iranians for attacking the Israeli ship. Remember God said if you curse Israel He will curse you. 

Iraq has been taken over by Iran and there are mass riots as the people have no food and health care. They have no electricity and water.  The circumstances are so dire and the heat wave hitting the region is not helping. Pumps are used with wells for water. Without electricity there is no cooling and no water. The people riot while live ammunition and tankers used are against them. The Prime Minister has stated that his advisors are his troops. In Iraq babies are being abandoned. That’s real desperation. 

Iran cannot provide water and electricity for many of its cities. Iran is no longer in favour with the other nations due to its nuclear weapons development programme. Many people are killed for peacefully protesting for water in Iran especially in the southern areas. A revolution is taking place right now.  

Afghanistan has been taken over by the Taliban rebels. It has propelled alliances among nations that will participate in the Pre-Tribulation War. It signifies a weakening of the American government which is needed for them to attack Israel. It’s an obvious ploy to many people of how economics can cost many lives. Already contracts and agreements are made e.g. Turkey will control the airport. This war in Ezekiel 38 is for ‘plunder’.

Syrians fight against Syrian government, Russia, and Iran in Syria. But the Syrian military are now joining the rebels to fight the government. Insurrection is on three borders in Syria. The Syrian government has betrayed them to Iran and sometimes to Russia.  

Lebanon paid Iran for gas and did not get it and the economy fell. Hezbollah has been an Iranian proxy destabilising the government.  

Therefore, prophesy concerning the land of Israel and tell the mountains and hills, the ravines and valleys, that this is what the Lord GOD says: Behold, I have spoken in My burning zeal because you have endured the reproach of the nations. Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: I have sworn with an uplifted hand that surely the nations around you will endure reproach of their own. Ezekiel 36:6-7

All the nations that helped to claim there is a Palestine people are facing rioting or fallen economies. When Barack Obama was President he did two things that did not please God:

• he told the world that Palestine was being occupied by Israel
• he interfered with with the elections in Israel

He then lost the elections when all the polls projected that he would win. God intervened. For such a young state, less than 100 years old, Israel's GDP and unemployment rate is comparable to the large and more established nations of the Middle East and North African countries. Ezekiel 36:9-11. 

Prophecies fulfilled

Many of us are getting excited other prophecies are converging to make the resumption of the Temple sacrifices possible in Israel. The red heifer and a specific snail has returned to Israel. The red heifer for the sacrifices. The snails produce the correct purple dye for the priest's garment. The priests are already in training to perform the sacrifices.

These are all important because the Pre-Tribulation leads to the seven year treaty which allows the Temple to be re-built. That means the Al Aqsa Mosque will be taken down. God is making preparation for the sacrifices to be made for when the time comes. This confirms that this is the pre-tribulation period.

The trumpets

It is the first time that the two trumpets are together. It is believed that the trumpets are the church and Israel. It is the first time both the Jewish State exists alongside the church. The church is the Gentile Jews grafted in to the family. The first time starting with 1948. They even exist alongside each other  in Israel.

In the previous blog I wrote on the Messianic Jews. The Gentile Jews separated from it’s Jews roots. The Gentiles lost their roots and deeper understanding of scripture. They are known as Christians. Many of us are now learning more about the scripture now that we infuse the Jewish meanings to it. It is definitely much richer. Also, the Messianic Jews lost Jesus due to the separation.  

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Make two trumpets of hammered silver to be used for calling the congregation and for having the camps set out. When both are sounded, the whole congregation is to assemble before you at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. Numbers 10:1-3 

In Joel 2:1 we can see that the trumpets have to be blown when Zion exists. It not only calls all God's people together, but it informs God that we need help. It will be the time for our great escape! There are more on the trumpets but that will come in another blog:

Let all who dwell in the land tremble, for the Day of the LORD is coming; indeed it is near-

Nations

In the past there has been an Arab cause. The pro-Palestine leaders in the Middle East would wage war on Israel. Sometimes five nations against the one nation! It is not a two-state solution they are after. They have always spoken of wiping Israel off the map. Even recently those words were spoken in Iran, Gaza, and in Syria. 

Let me point out, Palestine has had the option for two states, seven times, and turned it down each time. But the May 2021 war against Israel, showed a different situation: 

• Due to the Abrahamic Accord certain nations were not willing to jump in. 
• Iran incited the attack and when Israel responded decided to pull back and told Hamas to settle it on their own. 
• Muslim Brotherhood which is Hamas is not wanted in other nations and the other nations did not support them
• Even in Palestine, the people was fed up of Hamas
• Even after the war, nations that promised help did not give as was expected.

Things have changed again and this time there may be a reason for the nations to once again come together and attack Israel. This could be because Israel has found trillions of natural gas.

The Lebanese government recently brought a law to annex an area of ​​1430 square kilometers to Lebanon's economic waters in the southern part bordering Israel (see the light green area which includes part of Israel’s “Karish” natural gas reservoir included in its territory). Israel is not pleased. This move will make it more difficult to negotiate with Israel regarding the maritime border. Israel's gas find is sought after and can trigger the war.

Additionally, Russia had invested in getting their natural gas out to sell to Europe and was 97% completed when USA's Ted Cruz told the world to buy it from Israel cheaper. Israel is developing its East Mediterranean pipe to go to Cypress, Greece, Italy and West European countries.

According to Ezekiel 38, it is for plunder they will be attacked. Saudi Arabia is Sheba and Dedan, Tarshish is Spain and they will protest this war. 

Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish with all its villages will ask, ‘Have you come to capture the plunder? Have you assembled your hordes to carry away loot, to make off with silver and gold, to take cattle and goods, to seize great spoil?’ Ezekiel 38:13

Turkey is Gomer and the house of Togarmah. Turkey has been in economic trouble. Turkey has been searching for oil and gas but cannot find it. You might say Turkey needs a war to boost it's economy. Syria is Damascus. Iran is Elam but with other nations form Persia. 

Son of man, set your face against Gog of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. Prophesy against him and declare that this is what the Lord GOD says: Behold, I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws, and bring you out with all your army—your horses, your horsemen in full armor, and a great company armed with shields and bucklers, all brandishing their swords. Persia, Cush, and Put will accompany them, all with shields and helmets, as well as Gomer with all its troops, and Beth-togarmah from the far north with all its troops—the many nations with you. Ezekiel 38: 2-6

The relationship between Russia and Israel has changed. That was a relationship in which Russia cooperated with former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Since the new government was formed in Israel Russia announced that they are no longer committed to Israel as Netanyahu is no longer Prime Minister. 

Russia has been strengthening its position in the region. This means that they are getting contracts to help the nations. This can be seen in Sudan. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the Sudanese authorities are "preparing to open ratification proceedings with Russia on the establishment of a logistics center for the Russian navy there." Russia brought a few MiG 31s to the Hmeimim base in Syria. It has a Kh-47M2 Kinzhal nuclear-capable air launched ballistic missile. Why? This rocket is Mach 10 speed and very hard for missile defence systems to thwart.

Currently in the Middle East, Israel is the only nation with a working democracy. However, although the election process and the law by which this new government has been followed, this government is not representing the majority of the people in Israel. It is no longer a people's government. Flags are lifted to take away the promise God made to the world. This open defiance of God will create an environment for Israel to believe in a false prophet. 

New leadership in Israel means that the policy in treating with Syria and Iran is different. The new leadership in Israel is seen as weak. They have promised USA that they will not do anything without notifying them first. This compromises the nation’s sovereignty. They now have an Arab representation in the parliament which means they will not be able to pass a decision to defend themselves against attack without their votes.

Recently Lebanon allowed Hezbollah to fire 19 rockets at Israel. Fires raged into the night from this. They fired into a civilian area. But the parliament did not vote to respond. A key moment was lost to weaken Hezbollah.

The Arabs emphasise the Islamic not the national. There is always a potential for them to find a cause to unite them. Iran has continued to destabilise the region and cause havoc. I think the leadership is like Medusa. In so doing it has made the people desperate and the nations need money to be infused into their economies.

While the reason for the pre-tribulation war is based on an educated reasoning, it is only a suggestion. It may not be the actual reason for the prophecy to be fulfilled. What is important is that we understand what is happening, how soon it can happen, and what it would mean. All that is needed is ready and with a weak Israel, the nations may think they can attack. What they do not know is that God promised to defend Israel in a supernatural way.

I pray you are strengthened in your decision to follow Christ. I pray you have a heart to pray for others. I pray you are covered by the blood of Jesus, in Jesus name.

I ask you to forgive my sins in knowledge or ignorance. Please forgive me. I accept Jesus as my Saviour. I ask that Jesus comes into my life as I live to be a witness for Him. Please change my life and make me into the person you want me to be, in Jesus name I pray. Thank you.
