PRAYER

There are many things that can be said about prayer. It is important to remember a few things:

  • We pray to The Father in Jesus name, John 14:13-14

And whatsoever you shall ask in my name that will I do, that The Father may be glorified in the Son, If you shall ask anything in my name I will do it.

It is The Father whom you ask. So we pray to The Father and make our request known in Jesus name.

  • We ought to give thanks for everything, Colossians 3:17

And whatsoever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of The Lord Jesus, give thanks to God and The Father by Him

Pray establishes relationship with God. It grounds us in why we are different and how we are different. Some basic tips on prayer are:
  • we ought to pray every day
  • we should spend time listening not just talking
  • we should pray continuously, stay in God's presence

Every day is a day to give thanks. Many do not see the new day. Many things can happen but with thanksgiving and pray we can order our day. In pray we give our concerns to God and ask Him to take over.

Every day as soon as I open my eyes I thank God for the day and ask Him to be at the head of my day. Or you can ask Him to be Lord over your life every day. He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

In the current time and until the second coming of Christ it is key to remain in prayer. That does not mean there is no rapture either it happens or not. But this is a time when relationship is critical because mankind has no answers.

The fact is disruption is the norm in industry and this means that there is a ricochet effect in our lives. Every disruption opens a portal that allows new things in. Life has changed so much.

It is faster and the things of this world makes less sense. We are talking about hybrid humans and have not dealt with the nuclear bomb threat yet. We talk about wealth and we have not guaranteed water for all.

The scripture is true!

That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done, And there is nothing new under the sun. Ecclesiastes 1:9

It would appear as though I contradict the Bible. But understand what I am saying. In essence I am expanding on the truth of the word, there are no new things, they just appear to us as new. There are two aspects to this:

  • In our lives, there are new things happening
  • The seemingly new things are rooted in the old things

Staying in the presence of God and reading His word, the Bible, helps us to hear from The Holy Spirit and we are better able to navigate the world around us. We are able to understand with insight the root of the issues that cause us worry and concern. Christians are not to worry.

God exposes the truth to us. This way God empowers us with knowledge and understanding. We are able to pray about the issues more effectively and able to speak to others in a way they can understand.

I pray that your relationship with God grows every day. I pray that the distractions that come to you will not take over your life. I pray that you have victory today in Jesus name.

If you do not know Jesus as your Saviour, you can pray this prayer of conversion:

Dear Heavenly Father,

I ask you to forgive my sins in knowledge or ignorance. Please forgive me. I accept Jesus as my Saviour. I ask that Jesus comes into my life as I live to be a witness for Him. Please change my life and make me into the person you want me to be, in Jesus name I pray. Thank you.
